Choozle Volunteer Day: Denver Rescue Mission

with No Comments

In 2015, Choozle made the commitment to giving back to the communities where we work and live. Once a quarter the Choozle team dedicates a day to give back to the local nonprofits in the Denver area in an efforts help to create strong communities in which everyone can flourish.

On Thursday, December 3, the Choozle team spent time with the dedicated team at the Denver Rescue Mission at their new Lawrence Street Community Center. The Denver Rescue Mission is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of homeless men, women and children in Denver and Northern Colorado. Their Lawrence Street Community Center offers those experiencing homelessness in Denver a safe place to congregate during the day. Along with providing meals and access to clean drinking water, bathrooms, shower facilities, and washing machines, the Community Center will allow men, women and families experiencing homelessness an opportunity to learn how to participate in our long-term New Life Program and STAR transitional program.

Our primary task was to assist will preparing and serving dinner to the men and women that came into theDenver Rescue Mission’s Lawrence Street Community Center. By the end of our time at theDenver Rescue Mission we served over 400 people in need.
